GitHub and Slack (rolling out)
Ask about your team’s work with @vixentio from a pull request or a Slack thread.
Your team's shared work doesn't only live in Vixentio. Mention @vixentio in a pull request or a Slack thread to ask about the work behind it, or to act on it, without switching apps.
What both apps do
They answer from the work's own records:
- Status: where the work is and what happens next.
- Blockers: what it's waiting for.
- What changed: its latest changes.
- Who needs to approve: which reviews are still open.
And they can act, always after you confirm:
- Guide the agent, for example "tell the agent: keep the button on the primary color token".
- Request a review of the current version.
- Hand off the work to a teammate.
A request that changes something comes back as a card that says Needs approval. Only the person who asked can approve it: with @vixentio approve <code> on GitHub, or the Approve button in Slack.
GitHub
- Each person connects their GitHub account: Settings › Account › GitHub › Connect GitHub….
- The team's owner installs the app on the repositories and chooses Connect to This Team in the team's settings, under GitHub.
- Publish work from Vixentio as a pull request. Only pull requests Vixentio opened for a piece of work are connected to it.
Then write @vixentio what's the status? in that pull request. The app has no access to your repository's contents, never pushes code, and doesn't keep the text of your comments. See the GitHub App page for every command.
Slack
- Each person connects their Slack account: Settings › Account › Slack › Connect Slack….
- The team's owner mentions @Vixentio once in the workspace, then chooses Connect to This Team in the team's settings.
- In any channel the app is in, mention @Vixentio with a link to the work (Copy Link to Work in Vixentio).
The app reads only messages it's mentioned in. See the Slack app page for the details.
Team Chat and Ask Vixentio
Inside Vixentio, your team's Team Chat works on the Mac and at vixentio.ai/app, and @Vixentio answers about a work right in the conversation. Ask Vixentio, on Pro, answers questions and carries out actions on what you have open, such as a Board, with every change applied as one step you can undo.
