VIXENTIO / Slack
Ask about your work from Slack.
What it does
The VIXENTIO Slack app brings your team's shared work into Slack. Mention @Vixentio with a link to a piece of work to ask about it, or to act on it, without leaving the conversation.
It answers from the work's own records:
- Status: where the work is and what happens next.
- Blockers: what the work is waiting for.
- What changed: the latest changes to the work.
- Who needs to approve: which reviews are still open.
It can also act, always after you confirm:
- Guide the agent: "tell the agent: keep the button on the primary color token".
- Request a review of the current version.
- Hand off the work to a teammate you mention.
Get connected
- Connect your Slack account. In VIXENTIO for Mac, open Settings › Account › Slack and choose Connect Slack…, or use Connect Slack… in the web app's account menu. You sign in with Slack, and VIXENTIO keeps only your Slack user and workspace ids, never your email.
- Connect the workspace to your team (team owners). Mention @Vixentio once in your workspace, then in VIXENTIO for Mac open your team's settings › Slack app and choose Connect to This Team.
Ask and act
Mention @Vixentio with the work's link (Copy Link in VIXENTIO), followed by your question or request:
@Vixentio what's the status? https://vixentio.ai/app/work/…@Vixentio what's blocking this?@Vixentio who needs to approve?@Vixentio tell the agent: use the spacing scale@Vixentio hand off to @teammate
Answers go in the message's thread. Once @Vixentio has answered about a piece of work in a thread, you can leave the link out of later questions there. It never reads other messages, so a link that only appears earlier in the channel doesn't count.
A request that changes something gets a card that says Needs approval, with Approve and Cancel buttons. Only the person who asked can approve their own request: anyone else who presses the button sees a note that only they can see. Approving twice never runs it twice, and the card updates as it runs.
Who can do what
Your rights in VIXENTIO decide, never the mention:
- Your Slack account must be connected to your VIXENTIO account, and you must be in the team the workspace is connected to.
- The work must belong to that team, and you must be able to read it. Otherwise the app says it isn't connected to any work.
- Anyone in the team can ask questions. Commenters and above can guide the agent, and only the person driving the work can hand it off.
- If your account isn't connected, the app replies with a link to this page and does nothing else.
What it never does
- It never merges, deploys, publishes or deletes anything.
- It can't read channel history: it sees only the messages that mention it.
- It doesn't store your messages. VIXENTIO keeps ids and status codes so it can answer once and show what happened, never the text.
- It never acts on a message from a bot, its own included.
Disconnect
- Your account: Settings › Account › Slack › Disconnect, or Disconnect Slack in the web app's account menu.
- A team: the team's settings › Slack app › Disconnect.
- Everywhere: remove the app from your Slack workspace. VIXENTIO then forgets the workspace's connection to the team.
