Sharing a Terminal session (rolling out)
Let your team follow a Claude Code session you started in Terminal, opt-in for each session.
You might start Claude Code yourself in Terminal, iTerm2 or tmux, outside Vixentio. Sharing that session lets your team follow its progress on a shared work and send it guidance, without you moving the work into Vixentio. It's a privacy decision, so it's off by default and opt-in for each session.
Share a session
- Open Settings › Agents & Permissions › Claude Code in Your Terminals. Vixentio lists the
claudesessions running on your Mac. Finding them reads nothing from inside the sessions. - Choose Share with Team… next to a session.
- Pick a team where you're an editor or owner, and one of its open works.
- Choose what the team sees (below), and look at the preview: it's built on your Mac and shows exactly what teammates would see.
- Choose Start Sharing. Nothing is sent before that.
What the team sees
The share is content-light by default. Teammates see:
- a title: the session's own title, or its first request, on one line;
- what it's doing, in plain steps such as "Edited 2 files", "Ran tests" or "Waiting for the next request";
- how many files changed, and their names (the files Claude Code edited with its editing tools; a file a command changes, such as a script or a formatter, isn't listed);
- whether it's running, waiting or finished.
You choose two things per share:
- Files: names only (the default), names with a fingerprint, or paths inside the project. Never a full path on your disk.
- Include the Assistant's Messages: off by default. When on, the assistant's replies from the moment you started sharing are included, with secrets removed on your Mac and again on Vixentio's server.
Guidance into the session
Teammates who can comment can send guidance to the session, from a Mac or the web.
- A card and a notification appear on your Mac. You're the session's driver, so you decide.
- If you accept, Vixentio types the guidance into the session for you. Guidance from people you named for this share (Type guidance without asking from) is accepted without asking.
- The work's timeline says Applied only once the session shows the text as a prompt, and reports it as failed if that doesn't happen within 2 minutes.
Pausing, continuing and stopping can't reach a session in a terminal, so those requests are answered as not supported.
Stop sharing
Choose Stop Sharing at any time. Sharing also ends when the session's process ends, when you quit Vixentio, or when you lose the editor role in the team, and teammates see which it was. A share doesn't carry over a relaunch; you share again if you want to.
