FAQ
Short answers about agents, hosts, privacy, GitHub and billing.
Does Vixentio replace my code editor?
No. Vixentio is where your team and your agents work on the same change: the work, the runs, live previews, guidance, reviews and publishing. You keep your own editor for deep editing; the VS Code extension connects it (see the integration reference).
Which agent does Vixentio run?
Agent runs use Claude Code. On your Mac it runs under your own Claude Code sign-in. Vixentio can also hand a request to Claude Code, Codex or Cursor for you to run yourself.
Can an agent push to main or delete my work?
No agent force-pushes, rewrites history, deletes branches or runs destructive commands, in any permission mode. Git writes happen only in a Publish step a person starts after accepting the change, and merging needs passing checks. See Permissions and safety.
Will an agent overwrite what I'm editing?
No. Vixentio tells your edits apart from the agent's before every write, never replaces yours, and Undo removes only Vixentio's own change.
Where does my code go?
- On your Mac: it stays in your project folder. Teammates see progress, preview pictures and the review, not your code.
- On a teammate's Mac: it's that teammate's own clone, and the run happens there.
- In a cloud workspace (rolling out): the repository is cloned into a machine made for that one run in the United States and deleted when the run ends. Code leaves it only as the branch it publishes.
Can I use Vixentio with only a browser?
Yes, to follow, guide and review your team's work, chat and work on Boards at vixentio.ai/app. To run an agent, the browser asks a host: a teammate's Mac shared as a host, or a cloud workspace once your team has them. Adding a project happens on a Mac.
Do my teammates see my prompts?
They see the shared work: its brief, the timeline, guidance, previews and reviews. When you share a Terminal session (rolling out), they see only titles, steps and file names unless you choose to include more, and never the raw transcript, thinking, diffs or commands.
Does Vixentio train AI models on my content?
No. Vixentio's AI service doesn't store the content of prompts or answers, and requests go to Anthropic under terms that don't allow training on your content. See the Privacy Policy.
What does a cloud run cost?
A cloud run is charged in Vix Credits for the model's work, the workspace's time and a small fixed cost, with a cap you choose before it starts. With your team's own Anthropic key, the model part is billed by Anthropic instead. Runs on Macs don't use Vix. See Billing and Vix Credits and Pricing.
Do viewers and commenters need a paid plan?
No. On Team you pay for each editor seat; viewers and commenters are free. See Pricing.
What if I'm not in the rollout yet?
Screenshots, Boards, Notes and Team Chat work for everyone. Projects, shared work and agents are opening to teams in stages; contact us if your team wants to start.
